# Can I link git-based Software Items Specifications to dependencies, in Git?

Yes. The usedDependencies field allows you to link Software Item Specifications (SWs) to dependencies, using itemID. Once you do this, the SWs should show up on that dependency record in the SBOM module.

A full list of Ketryx's built-in fields, which are referenceable in git, can be found in our documentation, [here.](https://docs.ketryx.com/reference/advanced-settings#built-in-fields)

Note: If Dependencies are converted into configuration items, than the "itemUses" relation should be used in lieu of "usedDependencies".
