# Is it possible to create a Ketryx project before creating a Jira project?

It is possible to create a Ketryx project before creating a Jira project. However, you will not be able to connect a Jira project to the existing Ketryx project.

To make this connection, the Jira project must be created first and then connected to the Ketryx project during its creation. If a Ketryx project is created without being connected to a Jira project, it cannot be linked afterward. In such cases, the Ketryx project would need to be deleted, and a new one created, ensuring that the Jira project is selected from the dropdown menu during the creation process.
