# Why are the changes that I made to advanced settings not syncing in my project?

The first thing to consider is if you have made changes to the advanced settings at the organization or project level. Updating organization-level advanced settings after projects are already connected to Jira will require a full sync of the projects for the changes to fully take effect. This does not happen automatically upon saving organization-level settings but **does** happen when advanced settings at the project level are saved. Therefore, if you make a change at the organization level, go to project advanced settings and select "Save changes."
